Safety Reminders
Look out for yourself and your neighbors. In any emergency, dial 911 first.
- YOU are responsible for the well-being of yourself and your loved ones.
- Drink plenty of water and electrolytes.
- Stay cool and don't push yourself beyond your capability.
- Symptoms of heat illness Pale and sweaty skin, nausea, vomiting, headache, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, dark or decreased urine, irritability, muscle cramps.
- Treat heat illnesses by rapidly cooling and hydrating.
- Do not allow heat illness to progress to heat stroke (i.e. dry, hot, red skin and decreased mental status). This is an emergency.
- Emergencies IN THE EVENT OF ANY KIND OF EMERGENCY, DIAL 911 FIRST. THEN FIND A FIRST AID VOLUNTEER TO ASSIST WITH THE EMERGENCY.
- The first aid team is here to help. We are equipped and trained to provide first aid for medical emergencies. However, DO NOT HESITATE TO DIAL 911.
- For all non-emergencies, please see a first aid team member or proceed to the first aid tent.
- No vehicles off gravel roads or designated areas: no vehicles in festival or camp areas and no driving at night.
- Stay clear of radio (walkie-talkie, FRS, GMRS) channels: 3, 5, 7, and 19.
- Use situational awareness and supervise your children at all times.
